" Check Check Re- Check "

Ok, so has anyone ever had one of those " Twilight Zone Moments" ? You know the one moment where you look around the room and ask your self.. " What the hell is going on ? " Does no one else hear or see this? Why is no one reacting to this ? Im sure everyone has had at least one of these moments in time.. Well.. Here's my recent moment in the twilight zone.. Last nite- I went to a martini bar to meet a friend of mine for great conversation and to listen to the house band play.. I got there early ( which I always do, I cant stand to be late for anything ). So, Im sitting at a table in this bar, there are two other tables of people there and some people at the bar. I notice the band members staring to set up. No big deal right ? WRONG !!!! So this band member proceeds to start doing mic checks . Keep in mind there are not one but three microphones set up at this point. He starts the mic check, and keeps going , and going, and going, and going. To the point that I started laughing it was so long. That was mic number one. He proceeds to the 2nd mic. Ok, so this time, I decide Im going to time him, yall, 30 minutes later hes done with the 2nd mic, or so I thought. By this time Im becoming annoyed, he moves to the 3rd mic, thank goodness its almost over, or so I thought again.. He finishes the 3rd mic, and moves back to the first to start the process all over again. For two freckin hours all I heard was check check, yeah, check, yeah... I was waiting for the moaning to start next. So I guess the point to this whole post is, why the hell was no one else even annoyed by this? Then it dawned on me, they are all in a secret microphone checking cult. They have to be...
